Why does it matter?
MATTER doesn’t matter. The only advantage is cross-platform compatibility which is redundant if the device directly supports Amazon, Google Apple. You have not shown me no practical advantage so MATTER doesn’t matter. MATTER is the SACD standard of music of today bound to fail for being confusing. If you don’t know SACD then exactly!
Matter is quite possibly the worst name they could have chose . I still don’t get it. I have like 10 govee lights in my house and still have no clue what the heck “matter” is

All this stuff is garbage. Just ways to pry more money from you. GARBAGE! You don’t need it and it will fall into disuse as services become redundant and stop working with time,. GARBAGE!
