  1. The digital panopticon has been presenting itself as “smart technology” That’s what a lot of people live in with so much of it inside of their homes. It just seems like so many devices have cameras or microphones or some kind of sensor or some way to connect to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth.
A lot of this technology is tracking monitoring and recording you in some kind of way! So ultimately the tech influences how you think, it influences your emotions. And worst of all a lot of this technology has you double checking it to make sure that it is functioning correctly.

These are often marketed as increasing security, or they get marketed as some kind of convenience or efficiency. but it’s all based on the agenda of fear mongering or fear of missing out or some other bullshit scare tactic like you better keep up this is the way of the future!

The market is saturated with devices designed to make every square inch of your home “responsive.” Here is a breakdown of common smart technology currently occupying living spaces, organized by their function in this hyper-connected ecosystem:
    Security & Surveillance
Video Doorbells: Motion-activated cameras that record front-door activity.
Indoor Security Cameras: Often include two-way audio and AI-based person detection.
Outdoor Floodlight Cameras: Combine high-intensity lighting with motion-tracking video.
Smart Door Locks: Keyless entry systems manageable via smartphone or biometric fingerprint.
Contact Sensors: Attached to doors and windows to signal when they have been opened.
Glass Break Sensors: Microphones tuned to detect the specific frequency of shattering glass.
    Environmental & Climate Control
Learning Thermostats: Adjust temperatures based on observed daily patterns and presence.
Smart Vents: Automatically open or close to redirect airflow to specific rooms.
Smart Smoke/CO Detectors: Send real-time alerts to your phone if an emergency is detected.
Water Leak Sensors: Placed near pipes or appliances to detect moisture and trigger shut-off valves.
Air Quality Monitors: Track levels of VOCs, humidity, and carbon dioxide in the air.
Smart Humidifiers/Dehumidifiers: Adjust output based on sensor readings to maintain a “target” environment.
    Lighting & Power
Smart Light Bulbs: Can be dimmed or color-shifted via apps and voice commands.
Smart Light Switches: Replace manual switches to allow for app-based and voice-controlled lighting.
Smart Plugs: Turn “dumb” appliances into connected ones by controlling the flow of electricity.
Smart Power Strips: Individual outlet control for multiple devices from a single hub.
Presence/Occupancy Sensors: Use mmWave or PIR technology to track movement to keep lights or fans on.
    Kitchen & Appliances
Smart Refrigerators: Often feature cameras to “see inside” and touchscreens for inventory.
Smart Ovens: Preheated remotely; some include internal cameras for visual monitoring.
Smart Coffee Makers: Schedule brews or start via voice commands from bed.
Smart Dishwashers: Provide cycle updates and “finish” notifications to your phone.
Robot Vacuums/Mops: Map floor plans and track cleaning progress through cloud-connected navigation.
    Lifestyle & Misc.
Smart Speakers/Displays: Act as the central interface and hub for the rest of the ecosystem.
Smart Mirrors: Displays news, weather, or health data on a glass interface.
Smart Pet Feeders: Include cameras and audio to monitor and feed pets remotely.
Smart Sleep Trackers: Placed under mattresses to monitor movement, breathing, and heart rate during sleep.
Smart Blinds/Curtains: Motorized systems that open and close based on time or light levels.
Smart Irrigation Controllers: Manage lawn and garden watering based on local weather forecasts.

The problem I see with almost every single type of “smart technology”
Every single machine every single device every single type of technology is subject to failure mistakes and problems! But when something fails or makes a mistake or some kind of problem then you have to go check the warranty which is also bullshit. Then you have to track down whatever the stupid company’s number or website is or email etc. But based on my observation some companies go out of business or they quit making the product. Some people just get a new one cuz everything is designed to be obsolescent anyway.
I don’t need all that noise I don’t need all that stress. Life is so much simpler without all that supposed smart technology. I don’t need much of anything to be automated I’ve been proving that since 2004.
    I’m sorry I don’t want to be a prisoner!
